camh:
This Saturday at 9:30, Pasquale, Joey, and I bought 25 large fries and 120 Chicken McNuggets and shared it with the East Village. Sober.
It was inspired by Japanese schoolchildren. Although instead of eating it ourselves, we made a sign and invited everyone.
Practically everyone who walked by took a photo. Or laughed at us. Many people came in. Either to ask “why are you doing this” or just to grab some fries. We used the empty containers as to-go boxes for those in a hurry.
People seemed to think it costs us a lot. It didn’t. About 25 bucks for each of our orders. A couple people asked if it was an art project. We said no, we’re just young and stupid.
This is the most fun I’ve had at 10pm on a Saturday in the East Village.
This was lots of fun. Just a little bit of French fry humanitarianism on a Saturday night.
